The existing system comprises of sewers,

manholes, 4 screw fill stations and three major pumping stations.
The whole network
was surveyed by CCTV and redesigned for projected flows for the year
2025.
All the existing lift stations will be abandoned and
a third upgraded. The sewerage network will be completely replaced.
Key features of the project include the construction of sewers and pumping stations to depths of up to 12m in areas of high water table and the extensive use of microtunelling for approximately 12km of new sewer constructions.
