Gulf Consult was commissioned to undertake an intensive
survey of all building plots within this large suburb of Kuwait, identifying land use of all plots and age and condition of all buildings.
Once an area of 200,0000 inhabitants, Hawally had in 1994 less than 100,000 residents and the main purpose of the project was to provide a sound data base, incorporating a fully developed GIS system, to assist Kuwait Municipality in its future decision making.
Traffic and parking surveys and traffic analysis were also undertaken.
