GULF CONSULT HOME
BOUBYAN ISLAND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY
and Master Planning Studies

Bubiyan Island is a very large uninhabited island lying to the

north of Kuwait at its border with Iraq. Some 30km x 40km in area, it is larger than the State of Bahrain, yet very little is known about it.

The Council of Ministers commissioned our Joint Venture to undertake a one year study of Bubiyan and Warba Islands’ land and marine life, in order to form an environmental data base against which to then prepare land use options for the future.

By project completion, the consultants will have produced a viable Master Plan which takes fully into account all ecological and environmental factors, as well as economic and strategic planning issues.
