Gulf Consult in joint venture with W.S. Atkins of UK were
commissioned to undertake the design and construction supervision of all site engineering works of the first phase of the development of this new town.
The scope of work included:
Review of the infrastructure master planning for all utilities for the ultimate development of the Town. (about 40 m2)
Detailed design and tender documents of :
The roads and utilities for an initial area of about 2 km2 – Sectors 2, 3 and 7 of Neighbourhood no 1.
Connections from those sectors to the Nuwaiseab highway and electricity and water services.

The project comprises all site engineering works (highways and utilities) for sectors 2,3 and 7 of neighbourhood no.1 of the new town, with a planned population of 11,000.
Provision of water storage and wastewater treatment and disposal facilities for those sectors.
Preparation of house plot identification drawing for all proposed house plots.
