The town of Ahmadi is wholly owned by the Kuwait Oil
Company. Built in the 1940's and 50's, the town had been steadily growing to the point wherein 1998 substantial cash investment was required to renovate/ rebuild the town.
Gulf Consult was commiss-ioned to undertake a thorough study and analysis of the capital and maintenance cost implications for Kuwait Oil Company to retain respons-ibilities for the owner-ship and maintenance of the Town, to identify a number of devel-opment scenarios for Kuwait Oil Company and to recomm-end a sustainable strategy for the future of the town.
