Company. Built in the 1940's and 50's, the town had been steadily growing to the point wherein 1998 substantial cash investment was required to renovate/ rebuild the town.

Gulf Consult was commiss-ioned to undertake a thorough study and analysis of the capital and maintenance cost implications for Kuwait Oil Company to retain respons-ibilities for the owner-ship and maintenance of the Town, to identify a number of devel-opment scenarios for Kuwait Oil Company and to recomm-end a sustainable strategy for the future of the town.

Location: Ahmadi, Kuwait.

Client: Kuwait Oil Company.

Strategic Economic and Planning Studies.

Cost: Fees only.

Completion: 1998-1999.

Project Data:
Study and recommendations concerning all property and infrastructure of the town of Ahmadi.

Work involved undertaking a physical inventory of all prop-erty and infrastructure assets, establishment of land and prop-erty values and review of Kuwait Oil Company's capital and maintenance contracts.

The Project was undertaken in association with WS Atkins and Healey & Baker, UK.
