Gulf Consult, in association with Cambridge Seven Associates, USA, were awarded the Kuwait National Petroleum Company Headquarters Building as winners of a public design competition.
The KNPC HQ houses in one building management offices that were scattered across various locations in Kuwait City.
The new building is located strategically along side the main approach road to Ahmadi on an area of raised land visible from the As Saffar Motorway.
By diagonally positioning the building on the site and facing to the north east, the new facility maximises its presence on site, appearing as a floating image over a dramatic reflecting lagoon. Car parking is incidentally hidden at the rear.
